Gaffney — Development on a brand new animal shelter in Cherokee County will start quickly, offering further area to permit on-site pet adoption.
The Cherokee County Council awarded Gaffney-based Sossamon Development Co. a $4.6 million bid on January 17 to finish the undertaking by early 2024. The primary bid Sossamon submitted on November 21 was for him $5.4 million. The associated fee was later diminished by $800,000 for development.
